Job Summary

At Building Restoration Corporation, our team provides high quality masonry restoration and building envelope maintenance services for building owners and property managers throughout the upper Midwest. We are seeking a resourceful Business Development Specialist to extend our market share through expert exploration and discovery of new, untapped business opportunities and relationships. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, ambitious, tenacious, and use initiative to help promote and grow Building Restoration’s brand to drive revenue growth. This individual’s primary focus will be on new lead generation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify new customers to develop business partnerships and future contract consideration through a variety of techniques including cold calling, door to door canvassing of target markets, email, networking, etc.
  • Daily travel through the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area and occasionally greater Minnesota to determine which buildings need work, and then identify and contact the decision makers to present Building Restoration’s proven four step sales method.
  • Perform competitor analysis aimed toward obtaining an increased market share.
  • Identifying new clients through research and networking such as attending local organizations’ regular meeting and expos.
  • Work with the Executive Sales Manager to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
  • Work with the Marketing Associate to update and develop new marketing materials, social media posts, Constant Contact emails, etc. aimed at reaching new clientele.
  • Attends pre-bids as a substitute if the Project Manager is unable to attend.
  • Always represents Building Restoration’s image and reputation for outstanding customer service.

    Requirements:
  • Must be self-motivated, ambitious, detail oriented and a self-starter.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 Years of combined experience in construction, project management and/or sales is required.
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and develop industry partnerships.
  • Detailed understanding of existing building construction and materials.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
  • Experience in business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred

Experience

  • 1-3 Years of combined experience in construction, project management and/or sales is required.
