Job Summary

A BRC Caulker perform tasks involving strenuous physical labor under sometimes adverse field conditions at construction projects. They may operate a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with backer rod and sizes, knowledge of difference between bulk, sausage, tubes, and application of 2-part sealants
  • Knowledge of cutting out and properly preparing surfaces a plus
  • Previous caulking experience
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects.
  • Uses equipment and tools properly and safely to perform basic construction tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to work safely on scaffold and swing stages at various heights.
  • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director or Director of HR.

Education

High School diploma or GED preferred.  Trade school or apprenticeship experience preferred

Experience

1-2 years work related experience

Skills, Competencies and Abilities (to be developed and exercised in this role)

  • 1-2 years of experience as a caulker required.  Experience in 2 or more of the following trades; tuck-pointing, bricklaying, stone masonry highly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel.
